Victoria Police Fitness Testing For Applicants

In November of 2008 Victoria Police dropped the swimming component of the applicant fitness test.

As of the July 1, 2010 , it's back, albeit in a slightly different format. Other changes to the Victoria Police recruit applicant fitness testing are also being introduced.

Between the 1st of July and 1st of October 2010, applicants will be expected to attempt all fitness testing components, but will only be required to successfully complete the following 3:

Handgrip dynamometer test

30kg in each hand is the required score

Illinois agility run

Beep test

Minimum level 6.10

From the 1st of October 2010, the following 4 test will also need to be passed by all applicants. This is in addition to the 3 listed above.
